WGN News: Thanksgiving 2020 to look different amid COVID-19 pandemic

 

[VIDEO] Sometimes I really do relish the idea of a blog as a time capsule. This year I share with you a story from WGN today showing what's going on this holiday season during such unprecedented times. 

Authorities are asking us to celebrate this holiday season much differently than we had just a year ago during a pandemic. Especially to use technology to connect with loved ones. Very different and whether any of us likes it or not its simply the times we're in at this point in 2020.

NFL Thanksgiving football tradition

[VIDEO] Well we looked at the Bears' throwback uniforms used in a game this season and then the evolution of NFL rules. Now we get to see the evolution of NFL Thanksgiving football. Another tradition perhaps once a family is done with their Thanksgiving dinner.

According to NFL.com three games will be played today on Thanksgiving which includes Bears vs. Detroit Lions with kickoff at 11:30 AM Chicago time (will edit with score). Also Buffalo Bills vs. Dallas Cowboys at 3:30 PM Chicago time.

Well the Bears, Lions and Cowboys have been frequently features in Thanksgiving games according to the video above.
