[VIDEO] 150 years ago a major fire raged across the city of Chicago and as you see the city not only rebuilt in the wake of that it expanded to the limits you see now.
There were some legends to this fire, for example Ms. O'Leary's cow kicked a lantern and the fire went out of control from there. You can see a monument to that at the city's fire academy near Jefferson and DeKoven two blocks north of Roosevelt Road. Hard to believe that in the 19th Century that area had farms with cows.
