Michael Collins remained in the Apollo 11 Command Module as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history as the first men or humans to actually walk on Earth's celestial neighbor/satellite the moon in July 1969. He died on the 28th according to the statement you see below posted to IG after a battle with cancer. Neil Armstrong the first man to walk on the moon died in 2012 and Buzz Aldrin is the only surviving member of that historic flight crew for that historic NASA mission.
Can you believe it's been over 50 years since the Apollo 11 mission? I can't believe it, would've been nice to have seen that live on TV when it happened and sadly my birth came a bit too late for that!
Though earlier in 2019 I saw a documentary about that mission at the show back then.
