I had to look up what Constitution Day is. It used to be something like I am an American Day or Citizenship Day and in 2017 President Donald Trump reaffirmed it as Constitution and Citizenship Day.
The main significance is that on Sept. 17, 1787 the delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania had signed the document that remains the framework of the United States gov't. This document according to the preamble is the Supreme Law of this land.
Oh yeah the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution Article VI, clause 2:
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.
I had to share this just to show you where I get the phrase Supreme Law of this land from.
