Since this pandemic became a major issue last month IL Governor J.B. Pritzker has held daily press conference since then. Usually he may have the Mayor of Chicago with him in addition to other officials especially his Director of Public Health for this state. Often during these press conferences he announces actions such as closing all schools in the state or the current stay-at-home order set to expire on April 30, 2020 which is next week!
Also during these press conferences which often lasts from half and hour to an hour he would announce the daily count of coronavirus and deaths. There is some guidance provided from Washington, DC as far as when states can reopen their societies (or economies) it has often been stated in press conferences such as these recently that Illinois is a long way from meeting the criteria necessary to open up.
While the governor has often stated that he may make adjustments to the stay-at-home order at some point it seems Mayor Lori Lightfoot predicts the stay-at-home order will go on through June. I'd rather hope wee'd be closer to a gradual reopening in IL as opposed to extending the stay-at-home order for the next two months.
