Daily Dose of Internet: Police hate this one simple trick

[VIDEO] Today's video starts off with a homeowner using their own security system to transmit a message to police officer who are at the door. Hmm I don't thin this was in America, perhaps it was Australia is a neat trick. However, hopefully there isn't anything going on at home when you do offer police on the scene that message.

Of course other things that hopefully either entertains you or informs you. There is a quick video of shrimp going into a diver's mouth, however, they're just lucky they haven't been friend before they go into mine. LOL

Daily Dose of Internet: Taking a bath at McDonald's

[VIDEO] I was hoping Daily Dose would say once this clip was finished, the employee was later fired for his actions. Either way another fun video from them and I hope it's something you enjoy.

More fun animals, YouTubers marking their million subscriber milestone, and some gold prospecting seen in this video. :)

Daily Dose of Internet: Dog sliding down a snowy hill

[VIDEO] I missed a few good ones since the new year at least. Aside from a dog sliding down the hill I can tell Daily Dose loves animals, we also see a fish nursery in a fish tank during this video, those eggs or growing fish need constant movement and fresh oxygen from flowing water. Pretty cool device to grow fish. In addition to a lizard eating a bug - a natural exterminator and the mating dance of a bald eagle. That much and more that hopefully made your day.

I suppose Daily Dose of Internet took off for Thanksgiving

[VIDEO] Usually a video doesn't drop on Friday but on this Black Friday it does. Starting with using a piece of paper to cut a pair of scissors. Yes you read that right, take a watch.

Other items of interest in this video radioactive dishes, cars with built in jack systems to change tires, an inside look at one of the best hospitals in the world, and finally a blind used by hunters to hide from animals. Another great video which I hope made your day.

Your Daily Dose of Internet

[VIDEO] Aside from the introduction to this video which is of the various noises of the very good looking walrus at about 1:20 mins into this video we are treated to clips of penguins running around the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

In light of this coronavirus the Shedd Aquarium (another namesake of former Marshall Field's & Co. president in addition to John G. Shedd Public School) is closed through April 20, 2020 according to their website. So it's in the news that the penguins were released into the public areas of the aquarium now devoid of people to check out the various exhibits.

The penguins running loose even made the news and not just locally if you can believe that. The clips you saw in that "Daily Dose of Internet" was seen on a recent edition of CBS' This Morning .

Badgers

[VIDEO] Well since the badger was the mascot of Bennett-Shedd schools in my day, how about a video of an adorable badger. I wish I could tell you more about badgers except that it was part of a line from one my favorite movies from back in the day a cult-classic - UHF.

Here's a clip of that scene. This movie could be surreal and Raul the character you see accepting a delivery of animals for his program on a small independent TV station isn't happy about a delivery of badgers. The actor who played this part didn't complete this film as he had been killed in a car accident during the production. [VIDEO]
And also this video was popular in the first decade of this century. I can't say it makes much sense, however, if you choose to listen it will get in your head. [VIDEO]

They found that coyote!

There have been a number of coyote sightings in downtown Chicago. Unfortunately there were also coyote attacks on people. At least this coyote has been caught. CapFax had a post about the captured city coyote Friday
It's truly amazing to see a coyote being filmed by news crews around downtown Chicago. Since there are reports of coyote attacks possibly from the one captured hopefully the cameramen were very careful around that wild animal. As seen in this report from CBS Chicago, coyotes know how to cross the street also. [VIDEO]

Daily Dose of Internet: A really really big bunny

[VIDEO] Let's kick off October with yet another "Daily Dose of Internet" which starts off with a brief look at a continental giant bunny, which I was about to identify as a Flemish. The bunny you see in the video above could be described as a big slow dog. How about a giant domestic bunny rabbit for your pet. A four foot long bunny wow!

Meanwhile other parts of this video are of an educational, scientific or entertaining interest. I also hope you learn something new with this vid. I hope you like what Daily Dose has to offer.

They finally caught Chance the snapper

[VIDEO] If you've been following the news for the past week an alligator was lurking in the lagoons of Humboldt Park on the north side. The pictures I've seen of him show him to be small alligator, the video glimpses of him make him out to be a larger gator at least to me.

All the same Frank Robb came to Florida to trap him and he's not only been treated to the first pitch at a Cubs game he also came to turn on Buckingham Fountain. He's truly the hero of the moment.

I found this meme at CapFax just last week as the search for this gator continues. It's pretty funny especially since it seems to be true. Politicians looking for anything to tax.

#Ward09 Public notice

Who knew that Chicago did indeed have bats flying around in the city. And I never considered that they would fly south as this bat authorities have found. Check out this notice from Ald. Beale's ig page.

Merry Christmas

Lately it appears that I now have an affinity for posting pictures involving Peanuts characters when I note a coming holiday. Thanksgiving it was Snoopy and for Christmas it's that bird Woodstock, who's Snoopy's buddy. I was certainly tempted to say Snoopy who's a pet himself also has a pet. Well that's cartoon's for you.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Why haven't I added a link to the Shedd Aquarium

I don't know why I never posted a link to the Shedd Aquarium here. I mentioned the school's and aquarium's namesake John G. Shedd here in the past. It's past time that we include a link to the many institutions where many students would take field trips.

Years ago it seemed that all of Shedd School went to the aquarium. It's considered a very fond memory of my time in elementary school. I still remember trying to attract the attention of some dolphins there unfortunately it didn't happen. It was a cool escape and especially doing it with friends.

Sadly I've never been back, but there will be times where looking for something to do this would be a good diversion. I do wonder how many school children visit this aquarium every year.
