Mr. Beat: Was James Madison a better founding father than president?

Mr. Beat takes a look at James Madison's role as our founding father and as our fourth P.O.T.U.S. Even in the title he thinks of him as a better founding father than as a President. Madison was our President from 1809 to 1817.

One major contribution Madison made as a founding father was his ideas for our government. Especially how to organize America's legislative branch or our U.S. Congress - House of Representatives and Senate.

Of course we can't avoid the issue of slavery. Madison owned slaves and were only free when his stepson took over his estate after the death of Pres. Madison and wife Dolley.

After watching the video, let me know what you think of our fourth President. [VIDEO]

If you're looking for another historic destination to visit check out Montpelier which was James Madison's longtime home. This is where Mr. Beat recorded some of his live shots.
